BREAKING: Recently Graduated Federal Polytechnic Oko Student Shot Dead in Targeted Attack

In a tragic and shocking development this evening, a recently graduated student of Federal Polytechnic Oko, identified by the nickname “Legit”, was fatally shot by three unidentified gunmen in what appears to be a targeted killing.

The incident occurred outside the victim’s business premises, Legit Wine Shop, located in the busy Oko metropolis. According to eyewitnesses, the assailants arrived in a Spider Toyota Camry and parked directly in front of the shop.

> “They didn’t wear masks. They came down from the car, told everyone inside to step out… then they shot him straight in the head and left.” – Anonymous eyewitness

Witnesses say the attack was swift and appeared highly premeditated. The assailants issued instructions to bystanders to vacate the shop before firing a single, fatal shot to the victim’s head. He died instantly at the scene. The gunmen did not steal anything, reinforcing speculation that this was an assassination rather than a robbery.

Local police responded shortly after the shooting. The area was cordoned off, and the victim’s body was removed and taken to a local mortuary. Authorities have yet to release an official statement, but a full investigation is said to be underway. No suspects have been arrested at the time of this report.

The news has sent shockwaves through the campus and surrounding community. Legit, who had recently completed his Public Administration program, was known for his entrepreneurial spirit and his friendly demeanor. Friends and classmates have taken to social media to mourn his loss.

The incident has raised renewed concerns about security in student-heavy communities, especially within Oko metropolis. Students and local leaders are urging authorities to implement stronger security measures, including patrols and surveillance infrastructure, to prevent such tragedies in the future.

As the community comes to terms with this painful loss, we extend our deepest condolences to Legit’s family, friends, and fellow students. May his soul rest in peace, and may justice be served.
